Abstract

Military actions in Ukraine have caused significant challenges for both the population and students of various forms of education. Constant stress, danger, forced interruptions in education negatively affect the condition of students and teachers and worsen the quality of medical education. The use of innovative teaching methods, among which the case method occupies a special place, is of particular relevance in the context of war. It allows to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, promotes the development of clinical thinking, communication and independence of students. Interdisciplinary cases modelling real clinical situations have proven to be particularly effective. The use of interactive elements, such as photos, videos, and computer technology, increases motivation to learn. Feedback from students confirms the effectiveness of the method. In times of war, the case method becomes a key element in ensuring the quality of medical education.
