Abstract

Surgical treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis, namely the use of the methods of functional endoscopic rhinosurgery (FESS) occupies a leading position in the selection of treatment tactics. As a result, issues of postoperative rehabilitation, methods of its management, and the effectiveness of various methods become relevant. In our study, we substantiate the effectiveness of using saline solutions with the addition of N-acetylcysteine during postoperative rehabilitation. A more effective relief of subjective symptoms and improvement in the mucociliary apparatus was established in the experimental group. After evaluating the results of the study and our clinical experience, we concluded that the given treatment scheme is effective for patients during postoperative rehabilitation.
